About Centipede
Centipede is one of the most popular lawn grasses in the eastern
region due to its low growing, apple-green, low maintenance habits.
However centipede cannot handle heavy traffic, high PH soils, compaction,
salt and heavy shaded areas. Centipede should be fertilized with 1/2 lb.
of nitrogen per 1,000 sq. ft. per year. Centipede is a slow growing
grass with low mowing requirements and does not appear scalped when
cutting is delayed.
